Police Investigate Shooting In North Preston

 

September 10, 2012, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) . . . The RCMP/HRP Integrated General Investigation Section are continuing to investigate a shooting that occurred earlier this evening. 
 
At approximately 6:00 p.m., RCMP received a number of 911 calls of shots fired in the Downey Road area of North Preston. 
 
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a passerby was in the process of transporting the victim to the hospital when they were met by emergency personnel at the intersection of Highway #7 and Lake Major Road.
 
The 18-year-old North Preston man was transported to the QEII where he remains in stable but serious condition as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.  
 
The investigation continues.
