Police Investigate Attempted Murder

The HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit is looking for the public’s
assistance in relation to the shooting that took place yesterday in
Halifax.

At 10:50 p.m., police responded to Uniacke Street for a report of
multiple shots fired. On arrival, officers were confronted by an hostile
crowd of upwards of 50 people who had gathered in the area. Due to the

were later released from police custody.

A short time after the initial call, a 23-year-old man attended
hospital with gunshot wounds. He later underwent surgery for non-life
threatening injuries. The investigation is in its early stages.
Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are urging
