14 new COVID-19 cases (Sep 8 2021)

Today, Sept. 8, Nova Scotia is reporting 14 new cases of COVID-19 and 11 recoveries.

Nine of the cases are in Northern Zone. All are close contacts of previously reported cases.

Three cases are in Central Zone. Two are related to travel. One is under investigation. 

One case is in Western Zone and is under investigation. 

One case is in Eastern Zone and is a close contact of a previously reported case.

As of today, Nova Scotia has 61 active cases of COVID-19. Of those, one person is in a hospital COVID-19 unit.

On Sept. 7, Nova Scotia Health Authority’s labs completed 2,229 tests.

As of Sept. 7, 1,456,631 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. Of those, 696,782 Nova Scotians have received their second dose.

Since April 1, there have been 4,348 positive COVID-19 cases and 28 deaths. Cases range in age from under 10 to over 90. There are 4,259 resolved cases. Cumulative cases may change as data is updated in Panorama.
