14 schools will remain closed due to wildfires on Wednesday May 31

We are hearing stories of your incredible resilience during this unimaginable time. Our thoughts are with you as you continue to adapt to this tragic situation.

With advice from the Emergency Management Office (EMO), and based on HRM’s current State of Local Emergency Zone, the following schools will be closed on Wednesday, May 31, 2023:

  • Bay View High School
  • Tantallon Junior Elementary
  • Tantallon Senior Elementary
  • Five Bridges Junior High
  • St. Margaret’s Bay Elementary
  • Kingswood Elementary
  • Hammonds Plains Consolidated
  • Madeline Symonds Middle School
  • Charles P. Allen High School
  • Harry R. Hamilton Elementary
  • Millwood Elementary
  • Millwood High School
  • Sackville Heights Elementary
  • Sackville Heights Junior High
