14-year-old stabbed

Police are investigating a recent stabbing that occurred in Plympton.

On December 27 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Digby RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing near a roadway in Plympton. A preliminary investigation determined that an altercation took place between two youth who are known to each other.

A 14-year-old victim was transported to hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.

A 17-year-old youth was released by the court to appear on January 24, 2022 in Digby Youth Justice Court to face the following charges:

·         Aggravated assault

·         Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

·         Uttering threats

The investigation is ongoing.
