15-year old hit in Clayton Park area crosswalk

A woman was issued a ticket after an incident yesterday that sent a girl to hospital.

Car Pedestrian Accident

At 7:29 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to Farnham Gate Road at Scotch Pine Crescent for a car vs pedestrian accident. The victim a 15 year old female was crossing Farnham Gate Road in a marked crosswalk. When she was nearly across the street she was struck by a vehicle. She was taken to the IWK where she was treated for non life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 45 year old female,  was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
