17 COVID-19 offence tickets issued last night

Last night Halifax Regional Police responded to three separate noise complaints in Halifax, which resulted in 17 summary offence tickets being issued, for violating 71(1)(b) of the Health Protection Act, which carries a fine of $2,000.

At 11:12 p.m., on the 1st of May, police issued 6 adult males summary offence tickets in the 6000 block of Cedar Street Halifax, for violating 71(1)(b) of the Health Protection Act.

At 12:48 a.m., on the 2nd of May, police issued 1 adult female and 4 adult males summary offence tickets in the 2300 block of Brunswick Street Halifax, for violating 71(1)(b) of the Health Protection Act.

At 1:00 a.m., on the 2nd of May, police issued 4 adult females and 2 adult males summary offence tickets in the 1000 block of Bland Street Halifax, for violating 71(1)(b) of the Health Protection Act.
