DATE & TIME:
Saturday, November 17, beginning at 6:00 pm.
 
THE ROUTE:
The Parade begins on Upper Water Street at Cornwallis Street, continues over the Barrington Street overpass onto Barrington Street and turns right onto Spring Garden Road. It then turns left on South Park and then right onto University Avenue, concluding at the corner of University Avenue and Robie Street. Parents are reminded to keep children off the street and on the sidewalk at all times.
 
PARKING AND TRAFFIC:
 
There will be no parking along the Parade route. The public is encouraged to use Metro Transit and expect traffic and parking delays. As in previous years, there will be additional ferry service and the Halifax Harbour Bridges will redirect lanes to accommodate the event traffic.
 
TRAFFIC NOTES:
·         Timed street closures will occur along the parade route.
·         There is no parking permitted along the parade route.
·         Expect traffic and parking delays in the downtown core.
·         Consider using Metro Transit. For transit information, call 490-4000.
·         There will be additional ferry service between downtown Dartmouth and downtown Halifax.
·         Centre lane traffic on the bridge will be altered to accommodate two lanes coming into Halifax before event and two lanes heading into Dartmouth after the event.
·         Please keep children safely on the curb and off the street during the parade.
·         The parade will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

ROUTE 1
– STRAIGHT ON NORTH, LEFT ON GOTTINGEN, LEFT ON COGSWELL, RIGHT ON BRUNSWICK (STOP AT DUKE & BRUNSWICK), RIGHT ONTO SACKVILLE, RIGHT ONTO SUMMER,  LEFT ON VETERAN’S MEMORIAL LANE, LEFT ON ROBIE, RIGHT ON COLBURG. REVERSE RETURN TRIPS.
 
ROUTES 2 & 4
– STRAIGHT ON NORTH, RIGHT ON GOTTINGEN, LEFT ONTO COGSWELL, RIGHT ON BRUNSWICK, LEFT ONTO DUKE, THEN LEFT ON MARKET, TO REGULAR ROUTING.
                                                 
ROUTE 6
– FROM COGSWELL, RIGHT ON GOTTINGEN, LEFT ON RAINNIE, LEFT ON BRUNSWICK, LEFT ONTO COGSWELL, TO REGULAR ROUTING.
 
ROUTE 8
– NORMAL ROUTING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF DEPARTURE FROM WATER STREET TERMINAL.  BUSES REGULARLY DEPARTING THIS AREA WILL CONTINUE TO DUKE AND TURN LEFT ONTO HOLLIS TO NORMAL ROUTING.
 
ROUTES 7 & 9
– SOUTHBOUND VIA BARRINGTON, TO HOLLIS, LEFT ONTO GEORGE, SERVICE TO LOWER WATER STREET TERMINAL, VIA DUKE, LEFT ONTO HOLLIS, RIGHT ONTO SOUTH, THEN (FOR ROUTE 9) LEFT ONTO BARRINGTON (THE ROUTE 7 WILL CONTINUE STRAIGHT ON SOUTH).
 
– NORTHBOUND VIA LOWER WATER (FROM SOUTH), TO LOWER WATER STREET TERMINAL, ONTO LOWER WATER, STRAIGHT ONTO BARRINGTON (ROUTE 9 TO REGULAR ROUTING; ROUTE 7 LEFT ON NORTH, TO GOTTINGEN, TO REGULAR ROUTING).
 
ROUTE 10
– FROM DARTMOUTH – SAME ROUTE AS ROUTE 1 FROM DARTMOUTH, REMAINING ON ROBIE, LEFT ONTO SOUTH, RIGHT ONTO SOUTH PARK, RIGHT ONTO INGLIS, TO REGULAR ROUTING. REVERSE RETURN TRIPS.
 
ROUTE 14/61
– TO HALIFAX:  TURN SAME AS THE ROUTE 1 TO BRUNSWICK, (STOP AT DUKE & BRUNSWICK),  RIGHT ONTO SACKVILLE,  RIGHT ONTO SUMMER, LEFT ON VETERAN’S MEMORIAL LANE,  LEFT ON ROBIE,  STRAIGHT ON ROBIE,  LEFT ON SOUTH,  RIGHT ON SOUTH PARK.
 
– TO DARTMOUTH: FROM INGLIS TO BARRINGTON, TO LOWER WATER, TO WATER STREET TERMINAL, THEN LOWER WATER TO BARRINGTON, TO THE MACDONALD BRIDGE.
 
ROUTE 18
– TRAVEL VIA ROBIE, LEFT ONTO SOUTH, RIGHT ONTO SOUTH PARK, RIGHT ONTO INGLIS, RIGHT ONTO ROBIE.
 
ROUTE 80
– TRAVEL FROM ROBIE SOUTHBOUND, LEFT ON VETERAN’S MEMORIAL, RIGHT ON SUMMER, LEFT TO SACKVILLE, LEFT TO BRUNSWICK, (REQUEST STOPS), LEFT ON RAINNIE, RIGHT ONTO GOTTINGEN, RIGHT ONTO COGSWELL, RIGHT ON BRUNSWICK (SAME ROUTING AS ROUTE 1 RETUNING TO ROBIE), TO REGULAR ROUTING.
 
ROUTE 320
– TO HALIFAX: TO NORTH, LEFT ON GOTTINGEN, LEFT ON RAINNIE, CONTINUE ON DUKE, LEFT ON ALBEMARLE.
 
– TO DARTMOUTH: FROM ALBEMARLE, RIGHT TO COGSWELL, RIGHT ON MACDONALD BRIDGE, TO REGULAR ROUTING.
