The Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation released its 2014-15 community report today, Sept. 30 reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility.
“Nova Scotians have the right to expect the highest ethical standards, unwavering integrity and social and fiscal accountability from us, and from our operating partners – Atlantic Lottery and Casino Nova Scotia,” said Bob MacKinnon, Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation president and CEO.
“This community report is our social responsibility commitment in action.”
This past year the corporation assessed every new game and initiative using the rigorous standards of the Responsible Gaming Assessment Program.
Nova Scotians raised almost $3 million for amateur and high performance athletes and community sport organizations through the flagship Support4Sport program, which is now the most significant source of funding for sport in the province. An additional $2 million was raised through the Support4Culture program.
The community report outlines the status of all activities under the corporation’s social responsibility charter and its five pillars: responsible gambling, integrity and security, citizens and communities, corporate governance, and stakeholder relationships.
