The opening ceremonies have kicked off for the 2024 Olympics in Paris France, and despite the rain, the event had an amazing blend of acrobatics, music and dance.

Team Canada is all set to make a splash at the Paris 2024 Olympics with an impressive roster of 337 athletes. This team includes 315 accredited athletes and 22 alternates.

Nova Scotia is proudly represented by a dynamic group of athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Among them are Connor Fitzpatrick (canoe/kayak), Michelle Russell (canoe/kayak), Riley Melanson (canoe/kayak), Sloan MacKenzie (canoe/kayak), Antonia Lewin-LaFrance (sailing), Georgia Lewin-LaFrance (sailing), Wyatt Sanford (boxing), Sydney Pickrem (swimming), Ellie Black (gymnastics), and Sarah Mitton (athletics). These athletes bring a mix of experience and fresh talent, with notable figures like Ellie Black, who has competed in three consecutive Olympics and earned numerous accolades in gymnastics, and Sydney Pickrem, a seasoned swimmer with participation in the 2016 and 2020 Olympics.
