$22,000 in COVID-19 infractions after social gathering

Halifax Regional Police issued twenty two summary offence tickets for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act. 

On Friday, April 24th at approximately 01:00 a.m. police responded to a report of a large social gathering at a residence on Jubilee Road in Halifax that was exceeding the provincially mandated gathering limits. Officers issued summary offence tickets to twenty two persons for violating 71(1)(b) of the Health Protection Act which carries a fine of $1,000.
