Man injured in workplace accident

Police responded to a workplace accident in Burnside earlier today.

At approximately 8:45 a.m. police responded to a report of a workplace accident at a business located on Raddall Avenue in Dartmouth. A 27-year-old Dartmouth man, who is an employee at the business, suffered an injury to his hand by a piece of equipment. The man was transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Department of Labour has been contacted and continue to investigate the incident.
