Man Exposes Himself At Point Pleasant

Police have arrested a man in connection with two indecent acts that occurred Friday afternoon in Halifax.

At 12:51 p.m., Friday, February 28th an adult woman called Halifax Regional Police to report she had been walking in Point Pleasant Park when a man engaged her in conversation and then exposed himself to her. The woman ran away and called Police. Halifax Regional Police members attended the park to speak to the woman and search for the suspect. While police were on-scene a second adult woman called Police to report that a male had also engaged her in conversation and exposed himself to her. Through the course of the investigation the suspect was determined to be the same in both incidents.

Police were able to quickly locate the suspect within Point Pleasant Park. Police arrested 21-year-old Muhammed Ahmed of British Columbia he has been charged with two counts of committing an indecent act contrary to section 173 of the Criminal Code. He remains in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday, March 2nd, 2020.
