35 potential COVID-19 exposures (Dec 8 2021 report)

Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposures to COVID-19 at locations in Central and Eastern Zones. In addition to media releases, all potential exposure notifications are listed here: http://www.nshealth.ca/covid-exposures.

As Nova Scotia moves into a stage of living with COVID-19 as we go about our daily activities, there will be changes in how Public Health communicates COVID-19 public exposures. We will no longer be issuing exposures based on the risk levels of low, moderate, or high. We will be issuing COVID precaution notifications and COVID exposure notifications, where your self-isolation and testing requirements will be based on your vaccination status. COVID PRECAUTION NOTIFICATION (there has been a potential exposure of minimal risk to the public)

If you were present at the following locations on the named dates and times, you are requiredto follow the instructions in this table for a COVID-19 Precaution Notification based on your vaccination status.

·        Canada Games Centre – (26 Thomas Raddall Drive, Halifax) on:

o  December 1 (Aquatics Centre and wet change rooms) between 3:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

o  December 5 (Aquatics Centre and family rooms) between 11:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        Finbars (1595 Bedford Highway, Bedford) on December 2 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 16.

·        Playdium (21 Cabela Road, Dartmouth) on:

o  December 3 between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

o  December 4 between 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        Jack Astor’s Bar & Grill (184 Chain Lake Drive, Halifax) on December 3 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 17.

·        Boston Pizza (194A Chain Lake Drive, Halifax) on December 3 between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 17.

·        Centennial Arena – stands for U9 hockey (27 Vimy Avenue, Halifax) on December 4 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        Bella Rose Arts Centre – Element Dance Holiday Show (283 Thomas Raddall Drive, Halifax) on December 4 between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        Esquire Restaurant (772 Bedford Highway, Halifax) on December 5 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        Cole Harbour High School Gym – Metro Basketball Association (2 Chameau Crescent, Dartmouth) on December 5 between 2:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        The Lower Deck (1887 Upper Water Street, Halifax) on December 5 between 8:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. (December 6). It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 20.

·        Antigonish Nail Boutique (4053 S River Road, Antigonish) on December 2 between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 16.

·        St Francis Xavier University – Angus L. Macdonald Library on:

o  December 3 (2nd Floor Cubbies) between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

o  December 4 between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

o  December 5 between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

o  December 6 between 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 20.

·        Main Street Café – Maritime Inn Restaurant (158 Main Street, Antigonish) on:

o  December 2 between 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

o  December 3 between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

o  December 4 between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

o  December 5 between 5:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        Vivid Hair & Body (325 Main Street, Antigonish) on December 3 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 17.

·        Pizza Delight (348 Main Street, Antigonish) on December 3 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 17.

·        Boston Pizza (133 Church Street, Antigonish) on:

o  December 3 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

o  December 4 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        Snow Queen Restaurant (21 James Street, Antigonish) on December 4 between 11:15 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        Brownstone Restaurant (244 Main Street, Antigonish) on December 4 between 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        Piper’s Pub (33 College Street, Antigonish) on:

o  December 4 between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

o  December 4 between 10:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. (December 5).

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        Little Cristo’s (332 Main Street, Antigonish) on December 5 between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        Coldstream Clear Distillery (25 James Street, Antigonish) on December 5 between 4:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        St. Francis Xavier University – campus tour by student and parents on December 5 between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

COVID EXPOSURE NOTIFICATION (the public has had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19)

If you were present at the following locations on the named dates and times, you are required to follow the instructions in this table for a COVID-19 Exposure Notification based on your vaccination status.

·        Scotiabank Centre – Thunderbirds game – Section 38, Rows E-H, seats 1-5 (1800 Argyle Street, Halifax) on December 4 between 6:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        GoodLife Fitness (26 College Street, Antigonish) on:

o  December 1 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

o  December 2 between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

o  December 3 between 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 17.

·        Piper’s Pub (33 College Street, Antigonish) on December 2 between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 16.

·        Spindrift Oak Manor (271 Main Street, Antigonish) on December 4 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        Candid Brewery Company (88 College Street, Antigonish) on December 4 between 9:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        St. Francis Xavier University: X-Ring Celebrations on December 3 – 4:

o  Charles V Keating Centre on December 3 between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

o  Amelia Saputo Centre on December 3 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

o  MacIsaac Hall, Bishops Hall, Cameron Hall residences on December 3 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

o  Golden X Inn – X Ring SuperSUB Event (Bloomfield Centre) on December 3 between 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. (December 4).

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at the following locations on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 18.

·        St. Francis Xavier University – Mulroney House (main floor study group) onDecember 5 between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at the following locations on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

·        St. Francis Xavier University – Morrison Hall (dining hall) on:

o  December 4 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

o  December 5 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at the following locations on the named dates may develop symptoms up to, and including, December 19.

For those for whom testing is recommended or required, please book your COVID-19 test at https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/en or call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you. When booking your test online, please select the reason for testing as: I was at one of the exposure sites at the date and time identified in a recent Public Health public service announcement or letter where testing was recommended. Please get tested at a COVID-19 testing centre or public health mobile unit; do not go to a pop-up rapid testing location.
