350 New Jobs In Halifax

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW : A homegrown service provider is expanding in Halifax with plans to create up to 350 new jobs.

Blue Ocean Contact Centers is a member of CCL Group, a strategic marketing and communications firm based in Halifax.                                

The province, through Nova Scotia Business Inc., announced today, Dec. 7, it is supporting the company’s growth with a five-year payroll rebate of up to $1,950,000.

"Blue Ocean is a true Nova Scotia success story," said Graham Steele, Minister of Finance, on behalf of Economic and Rural Development Minister, Percy Paris. "Today’s announcement is a great example of how local companies are thriving despite tough economic times."

Blue Ocean offers multilingual service and support for organizations across North America. It has offices in Halifax and Saint John, where it provides customer care and support services for various clients in industries like telecommunications, tourism and hospitality.

Blue Ocean is hiring immediately and is seeking people with customer service skills and a willingness to learn. Bilingualism is an asset.
