I have a new morning ritual now thanks to the library and all of its hidden treasures. Every morning, while I have my cup of tea and wait for the caffeine to kick in, I read the fact of the day from Learn Something New Every Day : 365 facts to fulfill your life by Kee Malesky. It is an interesting way to start the day because I never know what I am going to learn. Even better, it gets me thinking about more than how much I want to go back to sleep. Do you want to learn which nation is the booziest or why scientists are studying the navel? Well this book has those answers and more. I really like that it gives you follow-up information for all of its facts. I am now hooked on the idea of reading a fact a day. I decided to see what else is out there and it turns out there are some interesting things to learn, check out these great books:

If you love crafts this might be the book for you. Sarah’s book teaches you a craft a day for a year and is set up with weekly themes. Week 1 is snowflake week and for seven days you’ll make a different craft with the same snowflake design. The crafts are all very basic but it is a cute idea.
