46 tickets issued yesterday, including failing to yield to an emergency vehicle

Yesterday, 46 tickets were issued to drivers for speeding, failing to move over for emergency vehicle and other vehicle-related offences.

The Halifax Regional Police Traffic Unit issued a number of tickets for motor vehicle-related offences. Officers issued 46 summary offence tickets: 21 for speeding, 11 for driving without insurance and 14 for other offences including failing to move over for an emergency vehicle, using a cell phone and unsafe equipment.

The monthly theme for April is speeding and aggressive driving. In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues, officers will focus on these areas when conducting enforcement.
