54-year-old man faces firearms charges

Kings District RCMP charged a 54-old-year man from East Dalhousie following a threats complaint.

At 9 a.m. on November 4, Kingston RCMP responded to a threats complaint in East Dalhousie. The investigation determined that a male had made threatening statements.  The course of the investigation also revealed suspect left his home and fired a rifle nearby. No one was physically injured during the incident.

A short time later police located the suspect and arrested him without incident. A search of a home resulted in the seizure of five firearms and ammunition.

Larry Glenwood Zink is charged with Careless Use of a Firearm, Uttering Threats, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm x 5, Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x 5.

He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court January 13, 2021.
