77-Year-Old Female Stabbed

 

On April 28th at 6:33 PM police responded to the 0-100 Block of Flamingo Dr. in Halifax to a reported stabbing. 
Upon arrival at the scene officers located the victim, a 77 year old female, who had received a life threatening stab wound. The victim was taken to hospital and immediately into surgery. The victims current medical condition is listed as critical but stable. Police located and arrested a 41 year old male at the scene. This was not a random act, the victim and accused in this incident are known to each other. Members of the HRP / RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section and Major Crime members are conducting the investigation into this incident.
 
The accused remains in police custody at this time, he will be charged with Attempt Murder, Aggravated Assault and Weapon Offences.
