Baddeck RCMP are releasing the name of the man who was found deceased in Baddeck on Saturday.

On Saturday at approximately 1:00 p.m., Baddeck RCMP responded to a report of a male laying, unresponsive in a wooded area in Baddeck.

The body of Perry Cyril Smolenaars, 56, of Baddeck was located in a small wooded area between Ross and Twinning Streets in Baddeck. RCMP do not suspect foul play and the investigation is continuing.
