Colchester District RCMP have made arrests following an investigation into break-in’s at commercial businesses and seasonal residences between Sunday, March 1st and Wednesday, March 4th, 2015.

Following an extensive investigation, Colchester District RCMP worked with the Street Crime Enforcement Unit and the General Investigation Section to arrest Jerrett Cameron Brook Pratt, 19, of East Mountain and Nicholas Kevin Archibald, 19, of Harmony on Thursday, March 12th.

Police have determined some items taken during the break-in’s included firearms, electronics, snowmobile clothing and several vehicles. Two stolen vehicles, that have since been recovered by police, were burned.

Search warrants were executed on two different residences in Colchester County and on a vehicle as part of the investigation.

The men each face 14 charges including:
– Break, Enter and Theft to a dwelling place
– Break, Enter and Theft from a business
– Possession of Property obtained by Crime Under $5000
– Arson
– Theft of a Motor Vehicle
– Break and Enter, with Disguise
– Theft under $5000

Both males appeared in court on Monday, March 16th, 2015 and were released on conditions. They are scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on April 1st, 2015 to enter election and plea on their charges.
