Police are investigating an assault which occurred Monday night at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility.

 

At approximately 9:54 p.m. on August 31, an assault took place involving two male offenders at the facility. The victim, a 22-year-old Lunenburg County man, was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

 

This matter is being investigated by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. Charges are anticipated.
