Blue Mountain man faces drug trafficking charges, Blue Mountain, Kings County, N.S.

On September 29, 2015, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from Kings District RCMP, executed a search warrant on Highway 12, Blue Mountain under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

On September 29, 2015, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from Kings District RCMP, executed a search warrant on Highway 12, Blue Mountain under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

As a result, a 51-year-old male was arrested.

Throughout the search, approximately 50 pounds of marijuana, and 30 marijuana plants were seized.

The man is being held in custody pending a court appearance in Kentville today. He is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Production of Cannabis Marijuana. The investigation is continuing.

Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit consists of members of the Kentville Police Service and the Kings and Windsor Districts of the RCMP.
