Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance to identify the driver involved in a vehicle pedestrian collision that occurred in Halifax on Wednesday evening.
 
At 8:25 p.m., a 55-year old woman was in the crosswalk across from the McDonalds on Lacewood Drive when she was hit and knocked to the ground by a vehicle. The driver stopped to assist the pedestrian, but didn’t provide his information. The pedestrian was able to return home where she was assessed by EHS, but did not require further treatment.
 
The vehicle is described as a white lifted pick-up truck. The driver is described as a white man, 30 to 40-years-old, 5’6”, medium build, with brown hair and a moustache. At the time of the incident he was wearing jeans; no other clothing description is available.
 
Halifax Regional Police is asking anyone with information about this incident or the driver to contact police at 902-490-5016.
