2016/2/5 Halifax District RCMP responded to a call of a suspicious person in Cole Harbour.On February 2, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m. a male posing as a salesperson for an alarm company knocked on the door of a residence in Cole Harbour. He persistently attempted to sell an ADT alarm system to the homeowner. The homeowner felt that the he was not a legitimate employee of the alarm company because he did not show photo ID. The homeowner decided to contact police today after hearing similar reports involving an alleged ADT alarm company salesman. The RCMP also received a second similar report in the same neighbourhood.Halifax District RCMP have made inquiries with the local ADT office and have confirmed that they do have door-to door salespeople in this area, but they are required to wear clothing bearing the ADT logo and produce photo identification. The suspicious male is describes as white, 20 to 25-years-old, 5'8' to 5'10', medium build, curly blonde hair, wearing a red ball cap and blue jeans.The RCMP is asking citizens to contact their local police if they feel they have been in contact with this person.
