A man faces charges as a result of a drug search executed over the weekend in Dartmouth.
At 6:40 p.m. on February 5, members of the Special Enforcement Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, with the assistance of members in the East Quick Response Unit, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 0-20 block of Nivens Avenue. As a result of the search, quantities of cocaine and marihuana were seized along with drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash. Officers arrested a man during the search.
Twenty-nine-year-old Jason Kyle Deyoung of Dartmouth was remanded into custody for the weekend and is scheduled to appear in court today to face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine and possession of marihuana under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
