Vicky Doucette has been appointed a Crown attorney in Amherst.
Martin Herschorn, director of public prosecutions, announced the appointment today, Nov. 28.
“Ms. Doucette’s broad legal experience and her prosecutorial skills make her a welcome addition to the Public Prosecution Service,” said Mr. Herschorn.
A native of Edmundston, N.B., Ms. Doucette graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1999 with an honours bachelor of arts in psychology and in 2002 with a bachelor of laws.
Ms. Doucette articled with the firm of Clark Drummie, now Cox and Palmer, in Moncton and in 2003 was appointed an associate focusing first on corporate and tax law and then turning to litigation. She has prosecution experience acting as an agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
Ms. Doucette is fluent in both official languages. She volunteers as an instructor for New Brunswick bar admission courses and is active in the figure skating community as a volunteer official.
