Halifax Regional Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Dartmouth female.

Fourteen-year-old Samantha Leger was last seen on Friday, July 2 in the early morning hours. Her parents reported her missing just before noon that day after a note was found saying she was leaving. Her family has not had contact with her since and police have followed up on leads without any luck.

It is possible that she may be in the Bridgewater area but that has not been confirmed. Samantha is a white female, 5-foot-3, 125 pounds, with long black hair that is blond on top. She may be in possession of a small Hello Kitty backpack, and may have dyed her hair a different colour.

At this time investigators do not believe Samantha has met with foul play, however, given her age, her family is concerned for her well being. Police request that Samantha, or anyone with information on her whereabouts call Halifax Regional Police at 490-5016 or their local police department.

A duck looks to be trying to keep cool in what was already a hot Wednesday morning at the Bedford waterfront. Temperatures are expected to soar over the next couple of days as Bedford is hit with the heat wave from the West.
