Sole Sisters race and CIBC Run for the Cure

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents there will be rolling street closures and minor traffic delays across the municipality on Sunday, to accommodate the thousands of runners taking part in both the Sole Sisters Women’s Race and CIBC Run for The Cure.

Dartmouth (Sole Sisters Race):

The 5K, quarter marathon, and half marathon events will begin at 8 a.m. at Graham’s Grove Park and will last until noon.

There will be rolling street closures throughout the morning in Shubie Park, on Prince Albert Road, Crichton Avenue, Glen Manor Drive, Lakeshore Park Terrace, Micmac Boulevard, Brookdale Crescent, and Highway 111.

Halifax (CIBC Run for The Cure):

The 1K and 5K events will begin at 10 a.m. in the Garrison Grounds and will last until 11:30 a.m.

There will be rolling street closures throughout the morning on Sackville Street, Brunswick Street, Spring Garden Road, Queen Street, Morris Street, Summer Street, Bell Road, Ahern Avenue, Cogswell Street and Brunswick Street.

Motorists and cyclists are asked to slow their speeds accordingly and pay extra attention when travelling through the race area on Sunday.
