Halifax District RCMP is hoping this message is read by the few drivers that ruin the fun for other motorists. Over the past few Sunday evenings, RCMP have received complaints from motorists who have reported other drivers who feel the need to speed and do burnouts on the roads and in parking lots in and around Fall River and Lower Sackville.
Although this type of poor driving is not reflective of the majority of motorists on the roads, it will result in RCMP increasing patrols in and around the Fall River and Lower Sackville areas with hopes of minimizing the risk that is being posed to other motorists.
“Doing burnouts, squealing tires, and speeding can result in some hefty fines under the Motor Vehicle Act,” says Cpl. Dal Hutchinson, Halifax District RCMP.” “Your money would be better spent on yourself than on fines and new tires.”
Halifax District RCMP encourages the public to report any unsafe driving incidents they observe by calling902-490-5020.
