Prior to 8:00 a.m. on June 19, Antigonish District RCMP responded to a collision on Highway 104 in Beaver Mountain.

The 2013 Nissan Rouge was travelling eastbound when it struck a guardrail. This caused extensive damage to the vehicle and injuring the driver.

The driver was transported to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The driver, a 40-year-old man from Fredericton, New Brunswick, is facing Impaired Driving related offences as a result of the collision. The investigation is continuing.

Antigonish District RCMP would like to take this opportunity to remind motorists to call 911 if you suspect a driver is driving while impaired. Your call could save someone’s life.
