**** Update: Charges laid in stabbing

Thirty-two-year-old Jade Louise Cyr will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon as a result of this incident.

Police are currently investigating a stabbing that took place this evening in Halifax.

At 7:20 p.m., police responded to the 5500 block of Cunard Street to a report of a man who had been stabbed. The victim, a 33-year-old man was transported to hospital and the status of his injuries are not known at this time. ​ A woman was arrested at the scene without incident.
