On May 23, 2020 Halifax Regional Police and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to a fire in the 5000 block of Inglis St, Halifax.  The fire was inside an apartment and was quickly extinguished.  After doing so firefighters determined the fire to be suspicious in nature.   Further investigation by  investigators from Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency  and a Halifax Regional Police Forensic Investigation Section confirmed that the fire was in fact suspicious in nature.  There were no injuries and only minor damage occurred as a result of the fire.  The incident is currently being investigated by members from the Halifax Regional Police General Investigation Section.
