Police have charged a man in relation to three break and enters that occurred in Halifax this month.
Police have charged Steven James Dewolfe, 37, of Halifax with theft under $5,000, mischief and three counts of break and enter in relation to the following incidents:
- November 20: Police responded to a break and enter that had occurred at a parking garage at 5481 Clyde Street in Halifax. A man broke the window of a vehicle parked inside and took electronic equipment.
- November 27: At approximately 5.a.m. police responded to an intrusion alarm at Julep Kitchen and Cocktails located at 1688 Barrington Street in Halifax. The suspect broke in and took a quantity of alcohol.
- November 27: At approximately 8 a.m. police responded to a report of an intrusion alarm at LeadSift located at 1682 Barrington Street in Halifax. The suspect broke in and took electronic equipment.
Officers identified the suspect, and at approximately 11 a.m. on November 27, officers arrested Dewolfe without incident in the 5500 block of Clyde Street in Halifax. He was in possession of some of the electronic equipment stolen during the Barrington Street break-in.
Dewolfe is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges.
