Road Construction – South Street
Location: Intersection of South Street and Oxford Street

Date: Wednesday, Sept. 22 to Friday Sept. 24

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each daily

Work details: This work is for road rehabilitation This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan<www.halifax.ca/sites/default/files/documents/city-hall/budget-finances/2021%20StrategicPrioritesPlan_Final.pdf> to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Stop and go traffic will be in place during this work. Traffic control personnel will be in place to direct traffic and pedestrians. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Construction during COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to maintain at least two metres of physical distancing.
