Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Roosevelt Drive and Halifax Peninsula – Water Main Repair
(December 11, 2022) Halifax Water crews are undertaking an emergency water main repair near 2545 Roosevelt Drive. This has required a temporary shutdown that will impact water service for most of the Halifax Peninsula. No estimate of service restoration time. There will be stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks are closed on Roosevelt and parts of Quinpool Road. Customers in the impacted area may experience discoloured water during/following this repair. It is recommended that those customers run the COLD water at one faucet until the water runs clear. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
