Halifax Regional Police has charged a youth in relation to a stabbing that occurred yesterday in Halifax.
At approximately 11:45 a.m. officers responded to a report of an injured person in the area of the 300 block of Lacewood Drive. An 18 year old man had been stabbed by a youth, and the suspect fled the area on foot. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Yesterday, shortly after 3:30 p.m., a 16-year-old youth was arrested after turning themselves in to police in Halifax.
The youth has been charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Youth Justice Court today to face the charges.
