Eastern Passage man charged with firearms offences

RCMP/HRP release:

The RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division has charged a man with firearms offences following a seizure in Eastern Passage.

On June 26, the Special Enforcement Section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, assisted by the RCMP Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant at a home on Kerri Lea Ln. in relation to an ongoing weapons investigation that began earlier this month. 

At the home, officers safely arrested a 22-year-old Eastern Passage man then located and seized a stolen handgun that was loaded, a quantity of cash and a cell phone.

Travolta Adam Beals-Flint has been charged with:

  • Possession Contrary to Order (two counts)
  • Failure to Comply with a Court Order (two counts)
  • Careless Use of a Firearm
  • Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Possession of a Weapon Obtained by the Commission of an Offence
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Laundering Proceeds of Crime

Beals-Flint appeared in court and was remanded into custody. He will return to Dartmouth Provincial Court today.
