RCMP release:

The RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division has concluded its investigation into the deaths of two adults at a residence in Enfield.

On October 18, RCMP officers responded to a request for a well-being check and discovered the remains of a 59-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man inside a residence on Rockcliffe Dr.

The woman’s death was a result of homicide and the man died as a result of self-inflicted wounds. The investigation shows that the man, who was a retired RCMP member, was responsible for the woman’s death and that this is an incident of intimate partner violence.

Our thoughts continue to be with their loved ones and the community at this difficult time.

We encourage anyone experiencing, or at risk of, intimate partner violence to reach out.
