Fatal crash takes life of elderly man

RCMP release:

Yarmouth Rural RCMP is investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Eel Brook.

On November 20, at approximately 4 p.m., Yarmouth Rural RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed in the 6800 block of Hwy. 3. RCMP officers learned that a Nissan Kicks had veered off the roadway and rolled.

The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan, a 74-year-old man from Lower Eel Brook, was confirmed deceased at the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash; the investigation is ongoing. Hwy. 3 was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones at this difficult time.
