Man charged after robbing downtown gas station

Police are investigating a robbery at a gas station on Robie Street in Halifax on December 8th. At approximately 8 p.m., a man entered the gas station, approached the clerk, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the individual fled the scene on foot.

Several hours following the robbery, at around 2:10 a.m., police officers located and arrested a suspect in connection with the crime. The individual, a 20-year-old man, has been detained and is facing multiple charges. These charges include robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carrying a concealed weapon.

The employee at the gas station was not injured during the robbery. The case is now pending further court proceedings.
