Traffic disruptions to watch for this week

A fresh round of roadwork kicks off tomorrow, and a few longer closures are still dragging on. Expect delays during peak travel times and keep an eye out for crews on the road.

HRM roadwork

Halifax – Dunbrack Street (Lacewood Dr to Main Ave)

Lane drops start Tuesday, Sept. 9 and run until Friday, Sept. 19. Work happens 9 a.m.–4 p.m. and again 6 p.m.–8 p.m. Two lanes will remain open, but traffic will be slower than usual.


Provincial roadwork

Hants County – Hwy 101 near St. Croix (≈3 km west of Exit 4)

A single-lane closure is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Expect delays.

Annapolis County – Hwy 101 near Exit 21 (MM 144–139)

One lane closed with traffic control from Sept. 9 through Oct. 31, daily 6 a.m.–6 p.m.

Pictou County – Garys Mill Bridge, Elgin Rd (Hopewell)

Fully closed to all traffic until further notice for bridge maintenance. Detours are posted.

Cumberland County – Hwy 104 EB (District Move 6)

Lane drop remains in place until further notice following a collision. Use caution in the area.
