Serious injuries after crash damages home, power lines

RCMP release:

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a single vehicle crash in Upper Sackville.

On September 18, at approximately 2:44 p.m., RCMP officers, EHS and fire services responded to a single vehicle crash in the 3200 block of Sackville Dr.

Officers learned a Lexus RX300 was travelling southbound on Sackville Dr. from Mount Uniacke when it left the road and flipped, causing property damage at a home and knocking down a power pole. 

The driver and lone occupant, a 23-year-old woman of Mount Uniacke, was transported to hospital with serious injuries. 

The road was closed for a short period of time but has since reopened.  The investigation is ongoing.
