Nine charges, four robberies, one man

HRP release:

Between September 8 and September 18, officers responded to four robberies at various gas stations and convenience stores throughout Halifax.

In each incident, a man entered the store, went behind the checkout counter and threatened the employees with violence. The suspect grabbed quantities of cigarettes and fled the scene. None of the employees sustained physical injuries.  

Officers believed the suspect in each of the incidents was the same person.

On September 21 officers located and arrested Shawn Robert Hall, 39, without incident.

Hall is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:

  • Robbery (x4)
  • Theft under $5000.00 (x2)
  • Possession of property obtain by crime (x2)
  • Fail to attend court
