HRP release:

Halifax Regional Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 79-year-old man.

Richard Banfield was reported missing to police today, and he was last seen on the walking path behind Cloverfield Court in Dartmouth at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Richard is described as 5’8” tall, approximately 160 lbs, slim build with brownish/grey short hair and wears glasses. He is possibly wearing a beige jacket and baseball cap. 

There is no information to suggest that Richard has met with foul play, however, police and his family are concerned for his well-being.
