The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation has released its second quarter financial results, showing modest growth in overall sales but a slight decline in earnings.
From June 30 to September 28, 2025, total sales increased 1.9 per cent to $250.4 million. Both beverage alcohol and cannabis categories saw year over year growth, with beverage alcohol up 0.6 per cent to $214.4 million and cannabis up 10.4 per cent to $36.0 million.
Despite the sales bump, NSLC earnings fell 1.6 per cent to $82.5 million.
One of the strongest areas of growth came from Nova Scotia made products. Sales of locally produced goods rose 13.4 per cent to $44.1 million. Locally produced beverage alcohol climbed 16.4 per cent to $34.5 million, including notable gains in several categories:
- Spirits up 22.3 per cent to $3.9 million
- Ready to drink beverages up 21.8 per cent to $14.5 million
- Wine up 19.5 per cent to $6.0 million
- Craft beer up 5.8 per cent to $10.0 million
Local cannabis also continued to grow, rising 3.8 per cent to $9.6 million. Nova Scotia produced cannabis accounted for 26.7 per cent of all cannabis sales during the quarter.
