RCMP release:
The Meteghan RCMP Detachment has charged four people after executing a search warrant in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
On December 17, Meteghan RCMP, assisted by the Yarmouth and Digby RCMP, executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Patrice Rd., Church Point.
At the residence, officers safely arrested four people.
During the searches, investigators seized a large quantity of cannabis ready for sale as well as several electronic devices.
Joel Andre Gaudet, 34, has been charged with:
- Distribution of Cannabis
- Intimidation
- Obstruction of Justice
- Breach of Release Conditions
The Church Point man has been remanded into custody and is due in Digby Provincial Court on December 23.
The three other people who were arrested, a 62-year-old man, a 58-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old man, all from Church Point, are facing charges of Distribution of Cannabis.
The investigation is ongoing.
