Emergency Water Main Repairs on Frederick Street, Dingle Road, Valleyfield Road (Dec 30)

Halifax Water crews are responding to three separate emergency water main repairs today, December 30, causing service shutdowns and traffic delays in Dartmouth, Bedford, and Halifax.

Valleyfield Road, Dartmouth Crews are on-site near 57 Valleyfield Road in Dartmouth. Water service has been temporarily shut down in the area. There is currently no estimated time for service restoration.

Traffic control personnel are managing stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Sidewalks remain open.

Frederick Street, Bedford Repairs are underway near 29 Frederick Street in Bedford. Water service is shut down, and there is no estimated restoration time.

Motorists should expect stop-and-go traffic managed by traffic control personnel.

Dingle Road, Halifax Crews are also working near 11 Dingle Road in Halifax. Water service is temporarily shut down with no estimated restoration time.

Dingle Road is open to local traffic only.

Customer Advisory Residents in all affected areas may experience discoloured water during or following these repairs. Halifax Water recommends running cold water at one faucet until the water runs clear.

Motorists are reminded to expect delays, use alternate routes where possible, and that speed fines double in work zones.
