RCMP release:
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian that resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian.
On February 3, at approximately 8:45 p.m., RCMP, fire services and EHS responded to a report of a collision involving a truck and a pedestrian in Porters Lake. Officers learned a GMC Sierra was travelling southbound on West Porters Lake Rd. and struck a pedestrian in the southbound lane.
The pedestrian, a 27-year-old woman from Porters Lake, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.
The driver and lone occupant of the GMC, a 64-year-old man from Porters Lake, did not report injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
