RCMP release:
The Colchester County District RCMP Community Action Team has charged a man after executing a warrant in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
On February 4, RCMP officers conducted a targeted traffic stop on College Rd. in Bible Hill and safely arrested the lone occupant of the Hyundai Sonata.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected cocaine, cash, a digital scale, eight cell phones, and a laptop.
Malique Olowu, 22, of Debert, has been charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine); Possession of Property Obtained by Crime; Fail to Comply with Release Order (two counts).
He was remanded into custody and is due to appear in Truro Provincial Court on February 18.
The investigation is ongoing.
